On Tuesday, April 24, 2012 a tactical box was struck out for a fire in the area of Haines and Russell Streets, just south of the Ravens Stadium. Engine 55, 58 and Truck 6 arrived to find a one-story vacant warehouse full of debris burning through the roof at Oler and S. Eutaw Streets, at the end of two dead end streets. They asked for the rest of the box assignment and shortly thereafter made it a working fire.
Companies used ladder pipes and manned large handlines because of the condition of the dilapidated building. They continued to pour water on the burning pile of debris and it was put out in about 4 hours. No injuries were reported.
