On Sunday, January 2, 2022 Tactical Box 46-30 was dispatched for a reported dwelling fire in the 3700 block of Hayward Avenue in the Pimlico section of northwest Baltimore. First arriving units reported heavy fire showing on the first floor and heavy smoke throughout the rest of the building and requested the remainder of the box to be struck out. Battalion Chief 5, Joe Bloom arrived and made it a working fire.
The fire made its way to the second floor and attic. Crews proceeded with an interior attack and brought the fire under control in 45 minutes.
There were no injuries reported and Fire Investigation was on the scene to determine the cause.
