Shortly after 2200 hours on March 24, 2016 a dwelling fire was reported in the 4500 block of Seminole Avenue in the Edmondson Village section of west Baltimore. The 1- ½ story frame house sits at the end of a dead-end street. This made for some limited access for apparatus to the scene. When units arrived they had fire and smoke showing from the rear and began an interior attack. The family of six was home at the time of the fire and made it out safely. About 15 minutes into the incident Battalion Chief 3 made it a working fire. With heavy fire inside and deteriorating conditions Command evacuated all personnel from the dwelling. They fought the fire with hand lines and a ladder pipe for about two hours before it was placed under control. Damages to the dwelling and contents were reported at about $120,000. No one was injured.
