On August 11, 2016 another fire struck Baltimore’s northwest side in the West Arlington area. Fire Box 46-60 was dispatched for a dwelling fire at 4425 Belvieu Avenue. Engine 46 and Truck 27 were first to arrive and found heavy fire showing from the rear of a one-story single family frame house. As they began to attack the fire most of it was burning on the rear enclosed porch of the structure. An automobile in the driveway was also starting to catch fire by the radiated heat. Crews entering the front found some extension to the rear rooms and into the ceiling through the exterior eaves.
It was brought under control in 40 minutes and Fire Investigation was on the scene to determine the cause. All of the occupants got out safely and no one was reported injured.
