On February 10, 2011 just before 1400 hours, Box Alarm 8-1 was sounded alerting units from stations 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, EMS2, BC1 and BC2 of a reported garage fire in the 2700 block on Dunleer Road in Ellicott City. About 40 personnel arrived on scene shortly thereafter and it took about 20 minutes to contain the fire. This was a two-story single family home with a three car garage. The fire did not spread to the home, but did cause extensive smoke damage throughout. Three residents lived in the residence but were not home at the time of the fire. No one was injured during the incident. Command was held by Acting BC2 (M. O'Neill) The cause is under investigation.
