On Wednesday, October 25, 2023 Fifth Battalion companies were dispatched to Fire Box 46-50 at 0327 hours to the 4100 block of Belvieu Avenue in the West Arlington section of northwest Baltimore. Companies arrived to find a large 2 ½ story vacant frame dwelling fully involved. Units immediately set up for exterior operations with ladder pipes and deck guns. This was a stand-alone structure at the end of the block, so there were no exposure problems. Truck companies set up ladder pipes on three sides of the house. Command requested a working fire assignment at 0335 and asked for several special calls in the next 30 minutes. Several collapses occurred and it was brought under control within 90 minutes.
No injuries were reported and demolition crews were brought in the next morning to tear down the burned out structure.
