On Sunday, July 20, 2014 west side companies were dispatched to 932 N. Fulton Avenue about 1:00PM. They arrived to find a 3-story end of group brick row house that had been converted into an apartment building with heavy smoke issuing from the top floors and fire was showing through the roof. Battalion Chief 3, Fred Ruff assumed command and companies began an interior attack. Chief Ruff made it a working fire and crews made their way to the upper floors and made a quick knockdown. The fire started on the second floor rear area and made its way through a hidden pipe chase above the ceiling and made its way through the roof.
The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes and no injuries were reported.
