At around 1730 hours on August 23, 2016 units from Westview and Catonsville were called to a vehicle fire that was threatening a house. Engines 4 and 13 along with Truck 13 were all clearing from another fire box in Catonsville, off of Frederick Road. As they approached the scene they could see heavy smoke and fire above the houses on the street. But when they arrived they found a well-involved bus to be along the curb in the street and far enough away, that the house was not threatened.
Once companies got water on the fire it was brought under control in about 15 minutes. The driver got out of the vehicle and was not injured.
