A Dedication Ceremony was also held at this event to honor Lieutenant Charles Leutner, Engine Company 24, who was killed in the Line of Duty on October 31, 1958 at a fire at the Manganese Reduction Company located at 3915 E. Baltimore Street. More than 25 other firefighters were overcome after inhaling chemical fumes and noxious smoke.
