Around 1300 hours on September 9, 2014 two vehicles were involved in a collision in the southbound lanes of the 9700 block of York Road, just a few blocks south of the Texas Station 17. Units from that station were alerted and arrived on the scene to find two cars involved with one car on its roof with an occupant trapped inside. Firefighters from Truck 17 stabilized the overturned car and began the extrication of the victim while Engine 17 set up a hand line and assisted Truck 17 and the medics tended to the driver of the second car.
After about 15 minutes the driver of the overturned car was removed and placed in Medic 17, where she was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The driver of the second car was shaken up and refused transport.
Crews also cleaned up spilled fluids in the roadway and Baltimore County Police investigated the accident.
