On Sunday, March 12th around 1030 hours Baltimore County westside units were dispatched to a reported car into a building at the Sunoco gas station in the 6700 block of Dogwood Road in Woodlawn. When units arrived they found an automobile fully involved at the gas pumps in front of the building and a man on the ground suffering from severe burns. They proceeded to extinguish the fire and treat the victim and transported him to the hospital in serious condition.
According to the County Police the owner of the car was apparently suffering a mental health crisis at the time and intentionally set the car and himself on fire at the gas pumps. The victim survived the ordeal and Baltimore County Police continued to investigate the incident.
